CT application in endodontic retreatment planning

Technical capacity of modern endodontics are almost unlimited. However the problemsraising during endodontic retreatment are often related to the fact, that the dentist starts treatment without complete information about the number of canals, their mutual disposition, curvature angle etc. The successful work with 3D object, like a tooth requires 3D diagnostic. How does the CT application influence the treatment plan and prognosis? Does it worth to use CT in endodontics? What problems cannot be solved even with 3D diagnostic? What hidden rocks can be discovered prior to the treatment? Clinical cases, illustrating, that sometimes only CT can help to come to the right decision.
